Which Workplace Course Should We Choose?

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) is a useful starting point for reception and other lower-risk hotel roles, teaching core workplace emergency skills. Consider Full First Aid at Work (FAW) for maintenance or other higher-risk work: it adds a wider range of injuries and illnesses, including head and spinal injuries, asthma and diabetes.

Check likely injuries, staff and guest needs, the layout and how quickly help can arrive. Plan cover across departments and shifts, including when staff are away.

Allergies and Child Guests

Our core courses include EpiPen practice to help you understand how to respond to a serious allergic reaction. For more allergy training, explore our anaphylaxis course.

We can cover adult and child First Aid skills together. If your team also needs formal child First Aid certification, you can add an Emergency Paediatric First Aid certificate to your EFAW or FAW course for a small fee, with no extra training time.

Plan Training Around Your Team

For standard EFAW, arrange cover for one full training day. Full FAW has three days of learning; our blended option combines two days online plus one day in person. Allow time for the online learning too.

Keep a trained First Aider available across departments and shifts, including overnight cover and staff absences.
